In this week’s digital leader session, the year 6 pupils used the fantastic new app Toontastic 3D to create their own animated film. The finished projects were fantastic and will definitely be another app we use to enhance our learning in class. Take a look at some of their efforts:
In the process of making the song, we decided to choose a charity for all the money made from the project to go to. After doing some research, we decided on the Save the Children charity. The children felt Christmas is a special time for children and wanted to make sure that every child can enjoy Christmas in a safe environment.
Everything with the project was created on an iPad, the artwork, song and video!
You can watch the video here and then download the song to try and help us get in the charts!
Thank you and have a wonderful Christmas!
Today we were so excited to welcome a representative from Google who brought a class set of Google Cardboard headsets with devices for students to use Google Expeditions. Every class were able to go on a virtual school trip to some incredible places! The pupils had so much fun and loved being able to explore every inch of different settings from around the world!

Last week in Literacy the Barn Owls have been using the iPad app ThingLink to help them retell the story of Lost and Found. First we put a collage of pictures together from the story using the app Pic Collage and then added them into the app ThingLink. Next, in our groups, we decided which part of the story we would each retell and practised what we would say with our partners and Miss Woodnett. Finally we recorded our videos and linked them to the pictures by uploading the videos onto ThingLink. On Monday we are going to watch our videos back and talk about all the things we did fantastically and how we could improve our retelling next time!

Year 1 decided to pose this question to the animals! Here are their responses –

What a FANTASTIC day! We had a beautiful and delicious Christmas dinner! A HUGE thank you to the kitchen staff! Each year it seems to get tastier and tastier!
After, we had our annual KS2 talent show! A massive well done to all the children who performed on stage, we love seeing all your wonderful talents and to see them performed so confidently was outstanding!
To finish, we were treated to another song from Mr P, as always, we endured the dreadful dulcet singing and the questionable dancing, but we all were able to join in at the end!
Here is his effort –
