Last half-term was a busy one for French. Year 3 enjoyed practising several finger rhymes including their most recent – Monsieur Pouce. Year 4 worked hard with Miss Mellowes using question forms and negatives. When looking at the location of various towns in France, Year 5 suggested their own strategies for remembering the spellings. Meanwhile, Year 6 have been extending their sentences using conjunctions and prepositions and have been busy asking and answering questions about things that they like and dislike using stressed pronouns.
These are just some of the skills that the children have been developing . Here are Year 5 reciting the rhyme ‘Petite Araignee’ with Mademoiselle Cau.
