‘ B ‘ Team Battle to Carve Out Narrow Victory !

In a hard fought closely matched contest our ‘B’ team recorded the narrowest of victories against a very strong Seymour Park football team thanks to tremendous teamwork and a wonderful first time strike from Idris. The victory was only confirmed very late in the second half after a very closely contested match. Idris could have doubled the lead shortly after with an identical assist from his cousin Zeeshan, snatching at the chance , not realising that a further touch and a little more time would have ensured more of a possibility that his shot was on target. Not to worry, great performances from Tom , Ole , Michael , Liam , Max and Joshua made sure of the 1 – 0 victory.

DAVYHULME 0 – 1 BARTON CLOUGH

In yet another close game , Davyhulme found themselves on the end of a defeat which they simply did not deserve. Their hard work and clever interplay created many chances and secured a large portion of possession throughout this game, while Michael Dean had a number of ‘headed’ opportunities that just missed the target . The greatest discoveries of this game were the goal kicks of Ole who was able to pin point Tom on the right wing of this very small pitch , along with the amazing long throws of Joshua who will no doubt link up with the towering head of Ole to create chances for the predatory striking duo of Michael and Idris. As it was, Davyhulme were beaten by a flicked on header from a Barton Clough team who made the most of their small pitch in a rare corner resulting in a 1 – 0 victory.
